It is the 6th leading cause of death, killing more than breast and prostate cancer combined. One-third of seniors in the US dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. One in ten Americans 65 or older have dementia.
most people have not wanted to assess their risk of dementia because they think there is nothing they can do about it. This is not true. If you start at age 45 and evaluate your risk of developing dementia including, genetics, diet, lifestyle, and toxic exposures, you can prevent and even reverse dementia. The key is starting early and being proactive.
